  20. ALLFILES is provided as-is and devoid of any warranty. There is absolutely
  21. no guarantee that it will run on your computer, much less run correctly. If
  22. you decide to run ALLFILES on your system, then you do so at your own risk.
  23. You should always make a backup of your data files before trying any new
  24. utility. I (Steve Gasque) or Shoals Community College cannot and will not
  25. assume any responsibility for your loss of data or downtime, or etc.
  26. ALLFILES has been throughly tested to insure the safety and integrity of
  27. your system, and I feel confident that it will run error free. However, if
  28. you do experience problems, call SCC InfoLink at the above mentioned number
  29. and leave a comment to the Sysop.

  32. Overview
  33. ~~~~~~~~
  34. ALLFILES is Shareware and can be freely distributed in the same form
  35. it was received and nothing should be added or taken away.
  36. ALLFILES v1.0 was written to provide a way for Wildcat v3.x users to
  37. create a list of available files on their BBS. ALLFILES has been tested
  38. on a Novell Network.

  41. ALLFILES will allow you to exclude up to 50 file areas from the list
  42. and it allows any compression utility to be used to create your
  43. compressed version of the list. ALLFILES will also freshen the file
  44. size, date and time in your wildcat ALLFILES.DAT database. ALLFILES
  45. will also allow several configuration files to be used simply by
  46. passing the configuration file name as a parameter to ALLFILES. If a
  47. file name parameter is not passed then the default of ALLFILES.CFG
  48. will be used. If a configuration file does not already exist then you
  49. will be prompted to enter the following information to be stored in
  50. the configuration file.

  55. 1. Full Path to MAKEWILD.DAT 
  56.    example:   C:\WC30\
  57.               This should normally be same path you run Wildcat from.

  59. 2. Up to 50 file area numbers to exclude
  60.    examples:   3,15,33
  61.                3,10-15,18
  62.                5 6 11,22-25
  63.  
  64. File area numbers can be separated with a comma or a space. The -
  65. (dash) means thru. For example, 10-15 means to exclude file areas 10,
  66. 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. Be sure you don't exceed the 50 file area
  67. limit.

  69. 3. Freshen Date, Time, File Size for compressed File? Y or N

  72. 4. Name of file compression utility program with path
  73.    example:   C:\UTILITY\PKZIP.EXE <---be sure to include the        
  74.                                        extension

  78. parameters. For example, C:\UTILITY\ARJ.EXE A

  82. 5. Name of Compressed File as listed in ALLFILES.DAT
  83.    example:   ALLFILES.ZIP  <---must be added to ALLFILES.DAT        
  84.                                 manually thru WildCat first time.

  86. 6. Path for location of .TXT file
  87.    example:   C:\WC30\
  88.               This can be any existing path.

  90. 7. Enter Name for Text File
  91.    example:   SCC.TXT
  92.               This will be the ASCII text file of your ALLFILES list.

  94. 8. Erase Text File after compressing? Y or N

  97. You may want the text file to remain for your own viewing later.

  99. 9. Single or Double Line List S\D?
  100.    example: D

  102.             S for Single line will show only the File name, Size, and
  103.             Description. The D for Double line will show the File    
  104.             name, size, file date, number of downloads, date of last 
  105.             access, password required, free file, and description.   
  106.             You can use 2 different configuration files and create 2 
  107.             compressed files. One could be called ALLFILES.ZIP and   
  108.             the other ALLFILED.ZIP. ALLFILES.ZIP could contain the   
  109.             single line listing and ALLFILED.ZIP could contain the   
  110.             double line listing. Your users would then have a choice 
  111.             of which way they want to see the list.

  114. You can have as many different configuration files as you like and
  115. use a batch file to call ALLFILES passing the appropriate
  116. configuration file name. The batch files can then be ran as a
  117. scheduled event.

  124. would like to use ALLFILES v1.0 on your Wildcat BBS then send $15.00

  133. on SCC InfoLink BBS with the specific problems so that I can correct
  134. the error. Comments and suggestions are welcome for future versions.
